About John Arnaldi
I am a fine art photographer living in Tampa, Florida.
My intent is to create images that are artistically pleasing to myself and others. I strive for interesting images that draw the viewer in and then free them to transcend the everyday world of material objects.
My life is a search to discover the spirit within, in persons and nature. Photography is a way for me to explore and give witness to how this spirit reveals itself and how people open themselves to it.
My work includes abstracts, close-ups, landscapes, and scientific illustration. Recently, I have been experimenting with impressionistic images using reflections, motion, and blur–-exploring how these factors can eliminate distracting details so that the essence of the image is expressed more strongly. My scientific images have been published in college biology and botany textbooks.
I welcome your feedback—please send me your comments by going to the individual page for that image and using the Comments box displayed below the image.
In addition to my photography, I am a Life Coach (creativity, relationships, intimacy, and sexuality) and presenter: http://www.johnarnaldiphd.com.
My blog is: Naked in the Shadowlands
My book, The Ethics and Efficacy of the Global War on Terrorism: Fighting Terror with Terror, was published in December 2011. Charles Webel is co-editor. More information, reviews, and ordering info: The Ethics and Efficacy of the Global War on Terrorism: Fighting Terror with Terror.
